DuVernay will be writing, producing and directing the love story meets murder mystery flick while Oyelowo is in negotiations to produce and star in the project, Variety reported.

Both stars will be joined by Participant Media to develop the feature film.

Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King of Participant Media will executive produce the film and King says it’s the perfect time for the star-studded reunion.

“Hurricane Katrina is one of the most important social and environmental stories of our time,” King said, according to Variety. “Ava DuVernay has shown herself to be highly skilled at bringing intimacy and contemporary urgency to epic events. We have been looking for the right way to get back in business with Ava, and with David Oyelowo, and are proud to reteam with them on her original idea, which we believe will be a powerful film.”

After Selma and Middle of Nowhere, the Hurricane Katrina-inspired film will mark the third partnership between DuVernay and the Selma star.

It would also mark the fifth partnership between Oyelowo and Participant, following Middle of NowhereThe HelpLincoln and A Most Violent Year.

Despite some major award season snubs, Selma was an incredibly successful film, earning close to $40 million at the box office.

It took roughly $20 million to make the Oscar-nominated film, giving the team a substantial profit.

DuVernay also shared her excitement about teaming up with Oyelowo and her Participant Media family once again.

“I’m thrilled to reunite with my Participant family on this project and fortunate to work again with the always exquisite David Oyelowo,” she said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “The story we’re interested in will explore the complexities of intimate relationships within times of chaos, while also examining the chaos itself. I’m looking forward to the journey.”

The film is currently untitled and a start date for filming has not been set.

RACIST Twilight Fans LASH OUT . . . Because Actor Robert Pattinson Is DATING A BLACK WOMAN!!

FKA Twigs has addressed the racist online trolling that she’s received, after it emerged that she is allegedly dating white actorRobert Pattinson.  The singer – who is nominated for the 2014 Mercury Prize and three MOBOs – said she was “disgusted” by the offensive comments shared on Twitter.

“I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week,” she wrote.

“Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it’s unacceptable online.”

Her debut album, LP1, was released in August this year, and she has numerous UK gig dates planned starting on 3 October in Birmingham.

Although their relationship has not been confirmed, fans of Pattinson have voiced their grievances at the actor having a new girlfriend in a series of tweets.

Others are seemingly aggrieved that he is no longer dating his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart.

My question is do racism still exist in 2014? twitter seem to have gone crazy with about this especially with bloggers and fans of Kristen Stewart .

Twigs, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, was born in Gloucestershire and is now based in London. Her father is Jamaican and her mother is part English, part Spanish.

She was the only mixed-race student at her Catholic school and remembers her appearance being the subject of scrutiny.

“Obviously it was hard,” she said in a recent interview withDazed and Confused.

“People said horrible things about something I had no control of, which was tough. But that’s okay. Life isn’t supposed to be easy, is it? I never really saw anything wrong with how I looked, it was more that certain people pointed things out to you about yourself.

“Either your hair’s different, or the colour of your skin, or your features. Half of my life I’ve had people staring at me because they think I’m funny-looking and ugly. The other half of my life I’ve had people staring at me because they think I’m fascinating. Everything neutralises. It’s more of a statement on society and how weird it is.”

BE INSPIRED: BRAVE MAN OF THE WEEK

ngo okafor2 ngo

Bellow is what his website described him as but to us NGOLI remains inspiration, in our mother tongue his ”Ike Ndidi” strength of endurance and the zeal to pursue your goal.

”He is the ultimate renaisance man. As a model, Ngo Okafor has graced the pages and covers of countless magazines and has been called the most downloaded black male model. He has worked with international superstars such as Gisele Bundchen, Mary J. Blige, Naomi Campbell and Lil’ Kim. As an actor he has worked on numerous TV shows, movies and Soap operas. On screen, Ngo just wrapped work on the feature film, “True Story” opposite Jonah Hill and James Franco. Ngo  has also worked with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Accademy award winner, Monique and Bridget Moynahan. As a boxer, he is a back-to-back, two-time Golden Gloves Champion.

ngloli9

He has been called one of the quickest studies the boxing world has ever seen, a powerful yet graceful presence in the ring and one of the quickest studies the fight world has ever seen. Within three years of beginning his career in 2005, Ngoli Onyeka Okafor, became a two-time heavyweight champion, winning back-to-back Golden Gloves, amateur boxing’s highest distinction. His accomplishments are even more impressive when one considers Ngo’s background. Raised in the Ibo speaking region of Nigeria, the second child of a Harvard academic and a teacher, sports were frowned upon in his house; brains were always valued over brawn. “My dad used to say athletes are like jesters in a kings court,” recalls Ngo, whose name means joy in Ibo. “I’ve always appreciated the value of a good education, but him saying that used to really piss me off, because I felt like I could have both.” He attended the University of Connecticut in the US and studied computer science, eventually landing a job with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he taught engineers and architects how to draw using computers. “I’ve always loved computers and there’s a part of me that will always be a bit of a nerd,” says Ngo. “But I also knew that I was naturally athletic and I wanted to see where that side would take me. I was curious to see if I could play at the highest level.”ngooo

He accidentally stumbled into boxing five years ago, at the ripe old age of 31 (around the time when most fighters hang up their gloves). What began as a simple workout routine (punching the bag, jumping rope, etc) quickly grew into an all-consuming passion for Ngo, who, at the urging of several fashion photographers, had relocated to New York City to pursue modeling. Professional fighters who watched him sparring noticed his innate talent and encouraged him to develop his skill. With the fierce dedication he’s applied to his work throughout his life, he immersed himself in the ring, training five to six hours a day…every day. “Boxing became my life,” he says. “I wanted to be one of the best that ever did it. I started later than most fighters, so I know I had to make up for lost time.”

After winning the Golden Gloves by unanimous decision in 2008 and 2009, Ngo, never one to rest on his laurels, turned his sites towards modeling and acting. With his boyish good looks, chiseled physique and quiet intensity, he was a natural. Over the years, he’s posed with supermodels like Gisele Bundchen (V Magazine) and superstars like Mary J. Blige (MAC Cosmetic’s Viva Glam campaign). He’s appeared in more than a dozen issues of Men’s Health Magazine, has produced two best-selling calendars and has been featured in publications ranging from Vogue and W to ESPN and Fortune.

Most recently, he was celebrated alongside five Olympians in the Spring issue of the Wall Street Journal Magazine. As a result of all of his efforts, he is now considered to be the most downloaded black male model in the world. Ngo’s acting career is also taking off. His television work has included stints on soap operas and TV series. Ngo just wrapped work on a feature film titled “True Story”, opposite JAmes Franco and Jonah Hill, which opens in theaters in 2014. Ngo is currently at work on, “Three Rounds”, a feature-length documentary, which chronicles his journey from Nigeria to the top of the boxing world. “I really want the film to inspire people to dream big and work hard,” says Ngo. “That’s always been my mantra and so far so good.”
